We spent the morning at the Great Wall. The oldest parts of the wall are over 2000 years old and the official length of the wall is 21,196.18 km (13,170.7 mi). The wall is not a continuous line but includes side walls, circular walls, parallel walls, watch towers and sections with no wall (high mountains or rivers form a barrier instead). There are several different sections, some of which have been restored and have over 70,000 tourists a day. We visited the Mutianyu section (about a 1.5 hour drive from Beijing), which was first built by the Northern Qi Dynasty over 1400 years ago. It was truly amazing. Just watch the video to see how we got down from the wall! See you all soon.
